Im not trying to be offensive. But there are times I have had to pee so bad I honestly thought I was gonna pee my pants. I have considered buying some adult diapers to keep on the truck. As others have said, you can get stuck in traffic for HOURS. Anticipating such a situation, I would like to have the option. The other option would be a sopping wet drivers seat to deal with and trying to clean/dry/ deodorize. I hope I did not gross anybody out. Just my thoughts! (and maybe a bit too much honesty)
Tractor Man I'm just glad I'm not the only one haha. I have diabetes, and when my blood sugar level goes too high I gotta go constantly. I guess it's a good thing I don't go to NYC very much!!
Matthew, Go to Walmart or any Sporting Goods store and buy a toilet seat that fits on a 5 gallon bucket. About $15.00. They make liner bags but they are expensive! I bought some Trash Compactor bags. I also have kitty litter in my side box. Combine those 3 and you are all set for #2 if necessary. Haven't needed it yet but it is all on my truck if necessary! No need to chuck the whole bucket. Tie the bag in a knot and dispose of it properly and responsibly.
I saw a pic online of someone who just cut a pool noodle to fit around the edge of the bucket. If I was ever to set something like that up that's what I would added to the other ideas like the trash bag and kitty litter and it would work well enough to me through.

As a man, you don't need depends, you just need a medium-sized Gatorade bottle. Unzip and take care of business if you are in slow traffic. Gatorade bottles have large openings.
As for the female end of things, that's a solution that might be solved by the same thing I have ready for myself if I ever get stuck severely in traffic again.
Go to Home Depot. Buy a 5-gallon bucket. Buy a bucket topper - not a standard topper that clicks into place, a two piece topper. The ring part is a pain to get on. It's tight and waterproof. The second piece of the topper is a screw-on lid that fits into the threaded ring.
So, I have an airtight 5-gallon bucket on the truck now. (I'm ready for next winter on I-80.) It cost me a grand total of about $8.00. If I have to use it, I'll probably just throw it away instead of trying to clean it. Though the 5-gallon bucket is big enough to put a 3-gallon household trash can in, which I could fit with trash bags. Might have to play around with ideas when I get back to the house.
I have not been forced to use the bucket yet, though I've been very close once. Another driver above mentioned kitty litter, which is brilliant. I will substitute kitty litter for the water I keep in it now, since kitty litter is specifically designed for the use I intend the bucket for.
