Had to have mine before school as a requirement. Did the High Road Program and passed everything in one go. All endorsements as well. I highly recommend the program. Most people here have done it and are better off than those who haven't in my opinion

First try is what i'm going for. Just at your local dmv?
The state agency that handles everything related to your driver's licences, including testing, issuance, transfers, and revocation.

You know that all depends on how well you prepare. What C. T says,

is if you study with the High Road Training Program, it's entirely possible to ace the written on your first time out.

Did the basic CDL A (General, Combination, and Air Brakes) written last week, no endorsements because of being in a bit of a rush to be school ready at the time. Written test is just at your local DMV.
Passed without issues first try. Definitely giving credit to the constant onslaught of review questions in the High Road Training Program here on TT.

The written test? Clp Man how hard was it on you guys? How long til you finally passed? Did you get yours before? How was that?
It is not hard at all! IF YOU STUDY THE MATERIAL on this site and others. Tons of free practice questions all over the web. DO NOT PAY for this material. There are plenty of those sites too!
Before getting their CDL, commercial drivers will receive their commercial learner's permit (CLP) upon passing the written portion of the CDL exam. They will not have to retake the written exam to get their CDL.
Yes I went to the dmv for all my test. Took a few practice test here on TT and other sites beforehand and it was a breeze. Just remember to get your endorsements before you get your hard copy cdl as they are cheaper that way.

I did it first time, and I didn't even have the advantage of even knowing about this site till afterwards. If you make full use of the high road program on this site as others have suggested, it should be a breeze.
