Congratulations.
Thanks man
Sounds great Joshua! Glad to hear things are off to a great start. I pulled a food grade tanker for a year one time and that was a really cool job. Never pulled a chemical tanker though.
What was the training like at Schneider for that tanker position? How long was it?

The training at Schneider was Great! It was looooong too. Physical, drug test (hair follicle) then they have you do a pre work screen (walk a balance log, & kneel down as if you were checking the wash out cap on the truck, carry 50-100 lbs about 20 ft then back, basically checking your heart rate after each activity & if it exceeded a certain rate you were disqualified. It was about 3 weeks of training total. Lot of practice learning to unload the tanker using air unload & pump unload, a bunch of computer testing, as well as road training & backing. It was great overall & I would reccommend it to anyone.

Hello everyone. My name is Joshua. I've been browsing these forums for about a year now. I used this site to practice for my CDL permit & I passed with flying colors. I went to a local school to get my CDL & afterwards I joined on with Schneider National Bulk Carriers. I've been here 2 months & I've been solo 1 month of that time. I enjoy it a lot. Tankers isn't as bad as I thought it would be & the surge is not horrible but you KNOW it's there. I just wanna say hello to everyone & Thank Brett for this site & helping people succeed in this career. If anyone has any questions about Schneider or their Tanker Division I'll be glad to let you know of any information that I know of. I'm still a rookie so I'll answer to the best of my knowledge.
