I've been dispatched back to back loads from Louisiana to Chicago this week. I couldn't help but notice the fields of corn up in Illinois are standing tall. Are you ready for some Football?

NASCAR was awesome in the 70's - 90's but it serves as little more than white noise for a good nap on a Sunday. Boring, boring, boring. At least yesterday's race had almost 10 minutes of excitement at the end. That's 10 more than most races.

But as always, bring on football!!!! We're getting our first rain in about a month today so the corn is a little short this year but hangin in there. I normally say when the corn is at your shoulders it's time for training camp, when it's over your head it's time for opening kickoff.

Bring it on! I'm ready and well rested for football after many good Sundays of NASCAR naps. I ordered my season tickets the other day for University Of Buffalo football which we've had for quite a few years now. And I'm sure we'll sneak in a Bills game along the way but college football is where it's at for me.

Brett, Everything evolves. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. I've been a Stock Car Racing fan since I was in Grade School. I've been haunting the local race tracks in my Hometown of Tucson, AZ for the better part of 50 years. They have come and gone, opened and closed, gone from dirt to pavement and back again. It's in my blood, I'll never give it up!

I grew up watching NASCAR back when Bill Elliot still drove the McDonald's car! I lost interest once Kasey Kahne took over and McDonald's cut their sponsorship.

I love football but since Peyton retired I no longer have a team to root for!

For me, NHRA/IHRA drag racing is where it's at!! I've been going to drag strips since I was big enough to wear the giant earmuffs. My dad and his dad both raced as well. I even spent a summer working at a local drag strip in Tennessee. I love, love, LOVE the fast cars and noise and the rumble of the dragsters.
