Wow that sucks, especially when you are trying to train too. At least you were the bigger person in the scenario and tried to be courteous. I suppose it isn't the profession you get into if you have road rage haha.
I apologize for coming here and airing my frustration, just thought it was a silly thing for him to do
No apology needed. Incredibly silly on his end I agree. Glad to see cooler heads prevailed on your end.
I'm not necessarily saying you should go to blows with someone like that but, by all means, confront them and ask why they act like such a ******. I had a guy honking, making gestures with his hands, etc while I was trying to back in a space one day and after I was done i asked him why he felt compelled to act like such a d@ck and he quickly denied doing it and acted like we were best friends. Don't let them get away with it without letting them know you don't appreciate it. Especially if others are around to witness their behavior and cowardice when you confront them. It's always fun to watch some jerk tuck his tail in front of others.
Yeah, problem is with people now days, they are likely to be carrying a weapon, which will just cause more problems. Unfortunately, the best course of action may be to just let it go, or risk being shot.
I'm a *****... I would have blocked him in as much as possible and continued training.
Pulling into a spot at flying j at 2200 and I was exhausted this guy got so close to me I could have touch his truck with my hand. Thru the window.. he kept inching forward as I tried to back which prevented me from swinging. I was REALLY new and he kept honking and yelling. I pulled the brakes threw up my hands and said "now I'm stopp3d. Now what are you going to do... you have nowhere to go. Stop being a jerk and give me a minute"
Tell your trainer to fill the cup with nails next time.

I like your style haha
I would have practiced my backing by pulling in next to him. Really get him to s**t by putting him on your blind side.
You do know a tire thumper is not only used on tires.

Sitting out here in Eloy, az. Waiting for a load, decided I'd find an empty part of a very empty parking lot to do some backing practice. There are literally over 100 slots close to the petro here and we were all the way in the back of the lot.
My trainer takes a paper cup and puts some rocks in it and sets it on the ground as a reference point for me, commence my practice. About 15 minutes in, a truck pulls around and noses in to the spot behind where I was practicing. I stop and stare at him for a second. Since he is there, I abort and pull out of the space. This guy then proceeds to pull forward through the space past the stopping point, runs over the cup and then backs into the slot and stops. I do a pull around and look as I drive by his truck and he is just grinning.
It's no wonder a lot of truckers are uptight, if this is the kind of respect that they give each other. Wow, lol, I guess there's one in every bunch .
