Make notes with time, date, and exact problems/issues. That will help you cya. Its too bad that companies operate that way. It gives the whole industry a black eye. If all of the equipment is that bad , the company should be reported.
Not all of them this one just got out of the shop 3 days ago.
Friends, don't let friends drive junk...! Sounds like you my friend, are surrounded by "it".
How long before you can hightail it out of there?

Best of luck on this Steven.
Don't know what companies you've applied to but here is a place to help Apply For Truck Driving Jobs. And reviews can be found here Trucking Company Reviews. Good luck.
It's a never ending dismal cycle lol can't drive for any of the company's I applied for because I just found out I'm still under contract with crst. Which I thought was over with in October of 14 lol yay. Apparently it didn't count just time lapsed O well looks like I'm going to try to go back with them.
I'm still under contract with crst....looks like I'm going to try to go back with them
ahhhhh..........we were wondering what the rest of the story was. You jumped ship on your contract and ended up with a lousy little company with garbage equipment. Don't worry, you're not alone. People do it all too often. We've always recommended that people stick with their first company for at least one year and you should of course always finish out any contracts. You're new here so you haven't heard that from us til now so we understand.
You should definitely go back to CRST and finish out your contract.

I've been in situations like that before where "some guy with a truck" offered me work and I took it - until I saw the truck - then I went home instead. You have to realize that employers that don't take care of their equipment don't take care of their employees either. They're obviously not interested in protecting your safety or your license now are they? They'll send you out in a death trap and whether you live or die, whether you get a pile of tickets to pay, that's your problem since you're the one that agreed to drive the truck.
It's not a matter of should you do it......you can't do it. It's really not an option. Trucking is nothing but risk management decisions, all day, every day. Those who make poor decisions don't last long in this industry.
And if you think you're having financial problems now, wait til you put yourself in a position where you can't land a job or you get seriously injured or injure someone else.
