Has anyone had any recent experience with this Stevens location? Could you please share your experience. Does anyone also know how much Steven's starting pay is once you get your CDL , finish your on the road training, and start solo?
I can't say anything about the Houston / Lonestar training location, but I can tell you what you get paid per mile as a new Stevens driver.
0.30 per mile, loaded or not. Zip code miles, not hub miles. Stevens also offers a decent package of payments for situations where the driver is not at fault, but cannot drive. Shippers and receivers taking too long to load/unload. Breakdown pay, etc.
If I remember correctly, while you are in the truck with a trainer, you get 350 per week for the first three weeks, then 400 per week after that. It might be 300/350 or 400/450. It's been about six months and I'd have to dig for the records.
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.
Look in the diaries section and put stevens in the search at the top of the page. Also look here Paid CDL Training Programs, read the Steven's review. You can also look at their review here Trucking Company Reviews. Hope that helps. In the training diaries section Dsturbd has a recent diary. He may have went to that school. I'm not sure. Good luck.
