If you're telling the truth on everything I don't see that it should be a problem
I would suggest you talk to Roehl and be honest with them. Good luck.
What they are looking for is huge gaps where you can't show what you were doing, and for dishonesty.
You're young, your whereabouts are eaily verifiable and if i were you, i wouldn't worry. Just don't omit anything.
Good luck and have fun on your adventures!
I appreciate yall honest answers I'm gonna follow up with them and go for it
Let me know how that works out, as I'm having a similar problem. I have good work history for the past five years, but before that I was moving state to state trying to find decent work, and didn't really stay at a location for too long before my living situation would cause me to move. I have the same amounts of worries that you do that I'll run into problems getting prehire letters due to my employment before 2011.
Pre-hire letters are acceptance letters from trucking companies to students, or even potential students, to verify placement. The trucking companies are saying in writing that the student, or potential student, appears to meet the company's minimum hiring requirements and is welcome to attend their orientation at the company’s expense once he or she graduates from truck driving school and has their CDL in hand.
We have an excellent article that will help you Understand The Pre-Hire Process.
The people that receive a pre-hire letter are people who meet the company's minimum hiring requirements, but it is not an employment contract. It is an invitation to orientation, and the orientation itself is a prerequisite to employment.
During the orientation you will get a physical, drug screen, and background check done. These and other qualifications must be met before someone in orientation is officially hired.
There has been a lot of gaps in employment over the past 10 years in this Country, despite what the folks in Washington DC try to spin. Unemployment has been way higher than the numbers show. Typical Washington "fuzzy math". Employers know this. Just be honest about your work history. I believe the "gaps" they are concerned about include hiding incarceration time or being involved in some sort of criminal or nefarious activity as a source of income. You are young enough to have a spotty employment history. You should be just fine!
What if you're unable to verify your whole employment history? Like I stated, the past five years I can recollect but before that, it's a struggle to remember what state I was in, let alone my employment history for that time frame.

I'm 24 and I want to get into trucking but I'm afraid my work history being verified might not get me hired. I started my first job at 18 and I worked there for 3 years then I got a job paying wayyy more and I went there. But I worked there for 1 year and 9 days and got into it with the owner son but we always got into because of him and I quit. The part I'm worried bout is my most recent jobs one of them I worked for 6 months but that one was seasonal and the last one was 5 months. Do yall think I would have a chance with roehls cdl paid training with my work history like it is. Please let me know something I really wanna get into trucking
