If you have att you can get on their unlimited data plan if you also have dish network at home, it doesn't have to be in your name just the address has to have it. It's unlimited high speed data up to 22gb then after they may throttle you depending on the need of others in your area, I myself have never been throttled and have gone over the 22gb a few times already. It's only available for your smart phone though and not tethering or a movie hot spot.
One thing I rarely hear mentioned is managing your data usage.
Instead of trying to go for the biggest and best data plans, sometimes it may be better to research where your phone is using data the most. You can usually find this information in your phones "Settings" > "Data Usage".
Social media apps are notorious for secretly running in the background and draining your data without you even being aware that it is happening. The Facebook app is one of the worst!
There are other things such as GPS, Location and Email services that may be draining data although you are not currently using them.
I would recommend if you haven't already research Google and your phones or apps settings to see where you can limit unneeded data usage. There is tons of information and news stories out there on this topic.
I think you will be suprised at what you find!
Had cricket until their customer service ****ed me off and I switched to Boost. Boost is owned by Sprint. We coundn't afford the good phones on Boost so we went to Sprint. My wife and I have 25 gigs of data to share. She is on wifi almost 100% of the time. We have yet to come close to our 25 gigs. We pay about $150/month for the service plus two phones. We got in on a special deal for the data. Keep your eyes open for great deals.
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
Don't get me wrong, I know that I'm going to have to pay for better service, I understand there is nothing free. I'm just looking for a good provider that allows a good amount of Hotspot usage. Seems like most want to throttle you after about 2 or 3 gb of Hotspot.
I'll look into some of the other providers for my data. Thanks

T-mobile and or Metro PCS are your best options for larger Hotspot /tethering limits. With Metro, I pay $165 for 3 phones with unlimited data, and no cap limit, so therefore, no throttling.
Hotspot /tethering is an 8gig cap, before throttling.
T-mobile still has some coverage Issues, but is getting better.
Most cell phone providers do not allow many/or any Gigs of hotspot usage on your phone. They want you to buy their HOTSPOT!
If you stream that much data, maybe you should invest in a large hotspot plan and a cheap cell phone plan for calls and text????? Im just not a big data user. Ive been with Straight Talk for 5 yrs. On the AT&T towers. I had their 5 gig $45.00 plan till last month. Went with the new 10 gig plan for $55.00. No tethering though. They do sell a HOTSPOT that uses Verizon towers. You may want to check that out.
Just fyi I was told by my accountant that if I have a separate device to access internet like a hot spot or something I can write the cost off on my taxes. I would assume that would go for anyone that itemizes their taxes and it could lead to a large deduction.
Writeoff means you don't pay taxes on the money you earned, that you spent on internet service.
BUT YOU STILL HAVE TO SPEND THE $$ either way.
Verizon has the best (fastest) LTE and coverage nationally. They aren't the cheepest though. You can get a "pre-paid" hotspot, and just pay as you go. $100 for 10GB. Use it up - just pony up another $100 for another 10GB.
OR - you can get 20GB a month (data only) for a hotspot for contract price of $110.
As Jake mentioned - you can "write off" the cost of this - but it's still another monthly expense.
I keep my phone on ATT (only because you can talk and surf at the same time), pay $130 a month for unlimited talk/text and 12GB that rolls over unused data.
Hit the road and I would probably add a verizon hotspot to the mix.
