When I drove through a weigh station in a rented box truck.
When I didn't merge over for an oncoming vehicle because I knew the vehicle behind me was going to lane change if I moved over.
Hey, do they expect you to go through weigh stations when bobtailing? I would assume so, and I've done it before, but I don't ever remember seeing anyone else do it. The time I did it I was on I95 in Maryland, and I was directed on to the scales. I sat there for 30 seconds or so before the light turned green and I left. Always wondered what that was about.
Anyway, I first felt like a real trucker when I got an actual paycheck for delivering loads.
"Bobtailing" means you are driving a tractor without a trailer attached.
Oh ok, I've got a better one: when I went to put gas in my car and thought that the nozzle looked like a kid's toy.
On my first morning after bringing the truck home. I look in my driveway and there's a Kenworth T680.
After I got home from 3 months otr and I couldn't drive my car right because it felt too small.
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
Making wide turns in my Chevy S10 Pickup truck on my 1st Hometime. Constantly scanning my mirrors to see where my "Trailer" was.
Forgetting about the rear view mirror in my car.
When I took to down some telephone wires with My trailer. Nothing says I'm a truck driver more than making a truck driving mistake lol
