Man I love your enthusiasm. I know that place well. I've driven thru there with ocean spray on my windshield and orcas playing in the ocean. The first time I was there the gal at security told my me they were having a clam bake and fire that night and it was great. I've also driven out if there in the dark with rain and fog with thoughts of sasquatches everywhere. They also frown upon running over tourists so be careful !!
I was amazed by WY and UT. Some.of rhe cities lit up at night are pretty too..
It's crazy to me to see.how empty and green most states are since in NJ we live on top of each other.
Was driving through kansas for what seemed like forever when I finally saw a skyline...civilization yay! Nope... was just a clump of silos.
Your in my neighborhood! When I was with Walsh I would deliver to that mill several times a week. Fyi, local drivers run the left lane through those little beach towns (Lincoln City, Depot Bay, and Newport) the right lane is tight and dangerous with all the tourist getting in and out of cars. I've been passed on the right by police and they don't give a second look.
At last I finally seen the ocean! Being from New Mexico, the biggest body of water we have is Elephant Butte. Got to finally see the ocean over here in Oregon on US 101 as I was on my way to Georgia pacific in Toledo, OR. One heck of a view. Wish if I had time to take pictures but I was short on time as I barely made it to the truck stop.
Days like these remind me why I love driving. I have seen sites that if I never drove, I probably never would have seen. Oregon is turning into one of my favorite states along with Idaho, Nevada, and Wyoming.
Keep that POSITIVE energy Devan! It's awesome.

I can imagine haha. The open fields are all I know. Austin Texas has an amazing skyline that can rival some of the cities on the east coast. I always thought I would like the city, bit my favorite part of the city is when I drive out and get back on a 2 lane interstate haha.

I always run the left lane in small towns. Learned my lesson after having a close call with parked cars in Lamar, CO. Go through Moab, UT quite a bit and there is tourists galore.
I drive in Indiana, Illinois, and I little bit of Iowa....Corn fields and dead deer are my scenery....
Some of the sights we see are indeed pretty spectacular. This is one of my favorite pics taken with the dash cam. Wyoming in springtime, shortly after I finally went solo.
