Well my goal/dream has to be put on hold awhile. My BP went haywire lastweek and now i have to undergo some tests and new meds and blah blah blah...

Soo it looks like i will try again in a year, if and when my health is back where it normally is.

I just wanted to thank everyone for the help and all the kind words and advice.

But this will NOT be the last you hear from me!

Drive safe all

Oh man that's a huge bummer! But hopefully you'll make the best of whatever time it takes to get things straightened out and get in really good shape. I'm really into nutrition and exercise and I feel like being in great shape not only adds time to your life but a ton of enjoyment also. You feel so much better all the time.

Best of luck and I certainly expect to hear from you again real soon! smile.gif

I feel your pain Geo. I'm on blood thinners and could not get passed the DOT with the company I wished to work for. They were very nice about the whole thing and since my past tests were inconsistent, I have to wait 30 days and get re-tested. once I get to a consistent level, I hope they sign off and we get going.

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

Geo...you get your BP down, and sticking within the accepted levels...But its alot easier to do that with exercise, (walking is great, as is swimming, you just need to bring your cardio rate up a little to get the effect you are looking for). And diet is a huge thing when it comes to hypertension. So go get yourself on the healthy path, you will thank yourself when you DO get into trucking. So keep coming in here, keep reading, and posting and learning. Cuz when the time comes for you to get your trucking adventure started, we want you to be the SUPER STUDENT !!!!! And we aren't gonna let you wander off until next year...you can just stay here with us...and we will bug you about your excercise, and your diet, and your BP....and your Wait..I see how that looks...I'm gonna go with ya !!!!

Hypertension:

Abnormally high blood pressure.
