When I started in '93 my first trucks were a 48" flat top bunk. There were no cabinets, the bed bumped right up against the back of the driver's seat, and you couldn't stand up straight in the truck. The roof was only about 5 feet tall. So you had two seats, a bed, and about two feet in between the two seats. The only storage was under the bunk.
The first time I was ever assigned a Freightliner Condo I was so overjoyed! I felt like I had won the lottery and was living in a mansion. I couldn't stop looking around the truck at how big it was and how tall the ceiling was!
At least the newer lightweight trucks have a tall ceiling. But it's still going to be really tight in there.
