My employer is offering to give a raise to any non commercial driver that gets a CDL. When I went to inquire about it he said that he did it with the manual and YouTube videos. Does this sound strange to anyone but me?
It can be done. If he provides the Truck and the Training. Use the High Road Training Program on this site and ditch the You Tube. You will learn everything you need to know to pass the written tests. After passing the written tests you will be issued a CDL permit. You must take Driving, Skills and Pre- Trip to receive your CDL. Judging from the nature of your question, you have your doubts...and you should. If the truck is a tractor trailer this is not a good way to learn and in all likelihood lead to failure. Contrary to everything we teach here.
What type of job, what type of truck? Class A or B? Can you tell us that?
