Colossal Cave Driving

Your road leads to a tunnel (or is it a cave?) Blocked by a large grate.
There is a glad hand connector laying on the ground.

OPEN GRATE

The grate is locked. There is a glad hand connector laying on the ground.

GET CONNECTOR

You pick up the glad hand connector. It looks a lot like a glad hand connector, but you can see it is a key.

OPEN GRATE

The grate is now open.

GO IN

You drive into the tunnel in your truck, but it becomes pitch black. If you proceed, you may cause a Preventable Crash!

TURN ON LIGHTS

In the light of your headlights, you see a long tunnel ahead. You realize this tunnel was carved out of living stone by dwarves! The floor of the tunnel is paved and is wide enough. You see a sign that says HEIGHT 13' 11". Your truck will fit!

FORWARD

The long tunnel has wide areas along both sides. You see the walls are painted white, and there are fluorescent tubes along the way.

FORWARD

You continue in the tunnel carved out of living stone by dwarves. You see wide areas in the roadway. Some wide places have office doors. Some have truck docks.

There is a Lumper in the tunnel with you! He wants you to pay him or you must unload your trailer yourself!

PAY LUMPER

You get out a Comchek and give it to the Lumper. He leaves the tunnel.
You have 2 Comcheks left.

FORWARD

You enter an area of twisty little passages. They all look alike.

LEFT

You come to a wide place that has an office door with a sign that says RECEIVING.
There is a truck dock nearby.

Suddenly a sepulchral voice reverberating through the cave says "YOU CAN BACK IN TO DOOR 2"

Then you look up from your tablet and say "this is like the first computer game?? Where's the action part?

I was reminded of Collosal Cave today when I made my first pickup in the cave warehouses near Kansas City, MO.

Oh... I go to caves quite a bit... carthage anf sprinfield MO. Scary. Took me 20 min to get in... the worker told me "not bad.. . Saw a guy take an hour." Just then a guy pulling in next to me swiped 3 parked cars. Yay it wasn't me hahha

I was gonna say... that seems like a script for a video game... we'll call it the TruckingTruth Cave Adventure!

I think the caves are cool, but they would be awful for someone with claustrophobia!

I think I'm jealous. I want to drive around a cave.

Also need to find the Freightliner to Ch-47 Chinook conversion kit, so I can get back in the air, lol. I really miss flying.
