These are the situations where understanding how to use the split sleeper ruke can really help you be productive. When you get to a shipper/receiver like this, put about ten or fifteen minutes of your time as on duty, then go right to the sleeper berth line.
When they finally get finished, you just park on their property for the remaining time until you've accrued eight hours of sleeper berth time and your clock will reset to where it was eight hours ago. Voila! Now you have just as much time to roll as you did when you arrived there in the first place.
When you learn to take advantage of the rules you'll be way ahead of most drivers out here. Don't be a slave to that clock, learn to be it's master.
The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.
The portion of the tractor behind the seats which acts as the "living space" for the driver. It generally contains a bed (or bunk beds), cabinets, lights, temperature control knobs, and 12 volt plugs for power.
Yeah Old School, I was forewarned that if I end up at Tyson I will become very acquainted with split sleeper!
