As long as you both have your cdl and have successfully completed company training, you're good to go. Make sure you go to a company that specializes in team freight.

both of you can go to trucking school together. Find one that pays while in school like rohel. Or me and my soon to be husband went through crst. They dont pay but it wasnt bad. They gave us food breakfeast and lunch.
My husband went to swift training and i wasnt sure i wanted trucking until i went out with him. He did 3or 4 weeks at school, then 3or 4 weeks with a mentor, then had to drive solo for (?) 6 months before i could go with him as a passenger. But if i knew i wanted to do this, i would have started the school as soon as money was coming in from him. Here's the kicker. Swift has a spousal program. I get free school training while he's working. And although i can join him after school (him being my trainer) we both agree that it would be better to go with another trainer for the experience. Hopefully a woman.

My husband and I want to become team drivers. I am planning on taking cdl classes first while he continues to work and pay the bills. Then when I start making money he can take cdl classes. Do you think that is the best way to get into this industry? How long will this transition take before we are qualified to become team drivers? Thanks for the information, Liz.
