I've got some time and have been doing some searching for you. Everything I am finding about entry level Fedex truck jobs is:
Apply online for an open driver apprentice position at a local terminal. Work the docks for a set period and then go through Fedex's own training programs that results in a CDL and driver position.
Copy\Paste the link below into your browser address bar and enter "apprentice driver" and your/their location into the jobs and location boxes on that page. (I tried to include the full link but it kept giving an error)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
Thanks Bill, but that's not what I'm looking for. FEDEX Ground contracts out everything. The drivers do not work for FEDEX but are O/Os or drive for O/Os that are contracted to them, either being on a W2 or a 1099 depending. I only want the LIST of approved schools.

I don't think there are any requirements for this. They just want you to already have a cdl.
As you mentioned, Ground are all O/O. It is up to the Ground route owner what the requirements are for their CDL hires.
I mean FedEx probably has some basic rules such as their contractors can't hire felons, etc., but I'd be very surprised if they mandate CDL schools on their Ground route owners.
For example, here is a Craigslist ad from NC: FedEx Class A CDL Driver (Chesapeake)
This is either the route owner or the O/O looking to subcontract. My guess is the former. They just want an experienced driver.
My guess at least :)
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
The Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) is a person who evaluates employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol program regulation and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.
I've seen a partial list of approved schools that a contractor posted in an ad, but yes, there is such a requirement as a FEDEX approved school for contractors. Anyway I suppose she'll just have to call to get the full list.

Does anyone know what schools are approved by FEDEX or have a weblink to such a list?
Searching for a friend and not having any luck finding the info.
