Kenneth, Anytime you call a company 800 number you are ttalking to a company recruiter. They will all tell you pretty much the facts about their company but honestly many who I have spoken with I don't how they got a job recruiting because they have no personality for the job. I can't stand it when I am talking to some who responds to me like I am bother to them so I don't care what they tell me much about their company I already have a negative impression of them. I talked to a lady at H O Wolding we talked for over an hour she not only answered my questions but after our conversation I felt I had known her for a long time, she not only talked about the facts about the company but she talked about the environment of the company. So they are one of my top priorities for companies I want to work for. So for me it is that first impression I get when I talked to them. You will know when they are trying to do sells job on you. I haven talk to any yet that has to over sell their company to me. Most are just there to collect a paycheck. Good luck as you go forward
I think that recruiters get a base pay, and a bonus on recruits...Otherwise.. why do they lie, omit, or say they will look into it, and never do ??? I'm not a fan of recruiters..but they are a necessary evil. Trucking companies have them, trucking schools have them, seems like everyone has them...You may have little choice in the matter.
I see a lot of people here talking about a recruiters and im wondering, are they individual truck company recruiters or industry recruiters that help you choose the right company? i guess what im wondering is if i see a company i am interested in should i contact the 1-800 number on their site or is there someone else i should speak with first for more insight whom isnt biased towards that company?
I have looked at a lot of companys on this site and i really like what i see on paper for Millis Transfer company but im wondering if there is a specific recruiter whom can tell me more about them, or perhaps someone here knows how they are as a company. I would be attending school with them as i do not have the license yet.
Thanks
Every trucking company has a recruiting line. Which means you'll speak to a company recruiter directly. There really is no way around it. But a company recruiter is usually your best source of information about the company. Just make sure you question everything they tell you. They will be biased about the company, but thats why you have TT. Anything that sounds wrong you can always come and ask us for a legit answer.
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
