Oh gee. That's got to hurt the ego huh...but any who, I suppose the first question is does he need more training or did he just choke up on the test? Simply re-testing might not be so bad if that is an option.

Just so i understand.. Company sponsored school so now you are under contract but your husband is not? Maybe he could go through a private refresher or simply retest. You need to be asking the company what the options are.
Hi Jill, way to go girl, as far as hubby tell him to ask instructors or classmates if they would help him if there's no positive help then check out Iowa Central Community College. They'll pay his ticket to get there and work with him on whatever he needs. I have a slight learning disability and they worked with me. I passed and got my cdl-a!

Once I warmed to his team OTR idea, we signed on to a company sponsored CDL school. Scool is mainly fresh-off the farm tractor / machinery students; so they pick up skills fast. We gad never been in a semi. I caught the learning curve and kept up. He struggled and they didn't really help him as much as he needed. So now schools done...I got my CDL and he didn't pass DOT nanuevers. Now what???

Over The Road
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
DOT:
Department Of Transportation
A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.
State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.
