Ha, i remember that thread. I did coast a lot one day because i thought i was about to run out of fuel, but that night when i shut down i noticed that the qualcomm had a record of how many minutes i coasted. Fortunately my company doesn't monitor that. Well, at least i've never heard of anyone getting in trouble for that.

You will be amused to note that my T680 Auto-10 speed goes into neutral when it gets to 1 MPH over cruise control speed, and stays there until it gets to 5 MPH over cruise control speed. Then it drops to 10th, and if speed gets to 8MPH over cruise, it drops to 9th. It ill go back into neutral if it slows to 1MPH over cruise control. When the Jake is on, this makes for some fairly long stretches of neutral on long hills. That's why the truck can pull 9+ MPG with 40+k in the box. This trip was really hilly coming straight up through Leakey, TX, but I'm still sitting at 8.0 MPG, with 300 miles to go tomorrow before I get to I-25 and then Denver. I'll probably be close to 9.0 by the time I get to the drop yard.
