It happens more than once lol. I usually lock myself out about once a week. Maintenance just told me how to break in my truck and I go about my business lol.Jake, It's easier to "break in" with a spare key!!!!!
But what kind of fun would that be I'm just waiting for the day someone calls the cops because they think I'm breaking into someone else's truck. Seriously I did the zip tie thing until I ran out lol then I just gave up

That's Funny!

The problem is I keep changing pants. I wear jeans or Jean shorts when I have to deal with shippers and cons but when I'm just driving I wear baskeball shorts. More comfortable that way. But anyway when I get out of the truck I always automatically lock the door and yeah my keys are usually in my other pants lol
The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.
Kat compares and contrasts:
No matter how bad of a day I have trucking, it still won't come close to the bad days I had in the classroom and dealing with an administrator I despised.
AH!!
An ex-teacher! Welcome to the club! I lasted 12 years in front of the white board.
I could deal with the Administrator.......... it's the 35 Bratty Kids that I would have a problem with!

Bro keep an extra pair of pants under the hood like G-town and you'll never have to break in again!

Hey Kat sorry we're joking around on your serious thread here.
I'm sorry your first week went so rough. You really have an awesome attitude though. Keep that up and be more careful and you'll be just fine. G-town's suggestion of rolling the windows down and listening is a really good one.
Some comic relief for ya.. In the Swift terminal in Denver there is a decent-sized boulder in the yard. One of their favorite stories at that terminal is how the boulder got there. Wanna take a wild guess where it came from? You got it! That boulder originally belonged in a median in the parking lot of the Walmart down the street. Apparently, a soon-to-be infamous Swift driver accidentally snagged it with his tandems while rounding a corner in the parking lot. The way this story was told to me, it got stuck between the front and rear tandems on one side of the trailer. He didn't know what to do with it, so he dragged that boulder all the way to the terminal, tearing up the road the whole way. The police followed his tracks and showed up at the terminal shortly afterward.
Do you feel slightly better about yourself now??
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
A set of axles spaced close together, legally defined as more than 40 and less than 96 inches apart by the USDOT. Drivers tend to refer to the tandem axles on their trailer as just "tandems". You might hear a driver say, "I'm 400 pounds overweight on my tandems", referring to his trailer tandems, not his tractor tandems. Tractor tandems are generally just referred to as "drives" which is short for "drive axles".

Not quite sure I want to know the story behind that!?

I have been locking myself out of my own vehicle for 40 years. I have singlehandedly (is that a word?) kept the Hide a Key magnetic key holder Company in business for DECADES!
