I had forgotten this, but I have mine in a clear plastic sleeve that reduces further wear. My GF got me one, have no idea where she got it. Had it not been for that sleeve, it would be fossilized by now...got it in 8th grade, 1973.

I have my med card in a sleeve like that. Need to go by my ME's office and grab another for my card (or find out where he got the sleeves). Mine currently lives in the foil sleeve that my passport card came in.

I got one of them sleeves at the bmv when I was picking up my CDL last week. It was only a $1.00. U can always try Walmart they usually have everything right. Lol!

  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

Figures NY is not on the list for acceptable ID's. I will definitely get a new one, afraid to de-laminate for fear of watching it crumble to dust. The irony is that I have been using for every job I ever had which because of doing contract work is sometimes 4 jobs per year. Only one employer ever complained about it but took it anyway after seeing the back of it did not warn against lamination.

My card from 1978 says "not to be used for Identification purposes" yet it is used for ID to renew my license hahah. I have to show my license to get a copy of my birth certificate which I used to get my license.
