I almost forgot. The Boise Stage Stop in Idaho. Tons of parking, great food, quite a history behind the location. A must see in my book!
I have a lot of favorites now, but my all time favorite is probably the ambest travel oaisis in Florida... forget the city but it's like 20 miles from alabama state line on i-10. parking doesn't fill up early, it's easy in and out and the restaurant there is really good with decent prices.
I have another favorite... it's not really a truck stop though... it's actually a casino but it has a truck parking (dirt) lot that always has space any day any time. the buffet is super awesome (but expensive too, like $25). The only problem though.... the walk to nearest bathroom is really really long. I'm not ashamed to say I don't even try to make the walk if I wake up in the middle of the night and need to go. I normally do my best to use a bathroom but this place is an exception, but it's a dirt lot so urine is absorbed unlike asphalt or concrete. anyways it's the winstar casino in OK on i35...
Just a little side note / news - I just parked at the Kenly 95 tonight. The new building they are working on is due to be complete in about 6 weeks. It will be a showroom very similar to the one at Iowa 80 complete with a couple of sexy show trucks with all the chrome and lights, a workout room, and other amenities.
Tiger truck stop in Grosse Tete, LA. It's not much to see , well there's a tiger, but the diner has great food and all sorts of meat you'll never get anywhere else.
The Tennesseean in Cornersville, TN. Great bbq, really nice folks and $7 for a shower. Lots of parking.
Aww man I love that Tiger Truck Stop!

As we get closer to the holiday season it's likely. Many times they ask us to park there overnight because of the congestion at the DC, no place for empties. I like it there, quiet and none of the TS nonsense.
The St. Clair Walmart (5 miles north of Cresonna on 61) is also a favorite and used as an overnight staging area.

Thanks for the tip on that place. I always get worried when I need to go to Bethlehem because there is no parking around there lol. If you ever see a roehl #2557 come on over and knock on the door I'd love to meet you and OS

Sounds like a plan.
If you are ever in need of a place to shut down in Bethlehem, there is a Walmart off of RT-22, RT-191 exit, (3926 Linden Street. ). There is truck parking allowed parallel to the curb behind the shopping center, Walmart, and Home Depot.
You two crack me up. These all sound interesting and I'll definitely be writing these down for the road trips ahead. I wonder why Brett hasn't chimed in? After 15 years and 1.5 million miles I'm sure he's got a few spots that he's partial to as well. Old School, that barbeque sounds wonderful. I'm a sucker for some good brisket and pulled pork.
"Bomb diggitty"? Does that mean it's good, or is that the name of the place?
Bosselman's in Grand Island NE. Tons of parking, huge store, vape shop if that's your thing, Little Caeser's pizza, Subway and a bomb digitty restaurant. Their breakfast is amazing and SOOOO much food!
Gore's Travel Plaza on Hwy 270 in Seiling OK. Kind of an out of the way place, but coming up from OKC to Dodge City it's one of the last places to stop. Always, always parking, Sonic, and amazing little bistro inside. We call it Paradise...

Looks like if I get the chance next time I'm driving around down south I gotta check out Iowa 80! Whether I'm in a truck or not....
Alaska doesn't really have truck stops like lower 48 O.O! So the first time I saw a truck stop down south I was like "wooooaaaahhhh cooooool".
For fun I googled truck stop alaska and some place in Sweden popped up. Found a list of "truck stops" after scrolling down some...apparently some places are listed as truck stops that I'm like yeah okay a truck can stop there but.......who needs parking lines and alley docking anyway! I giggled at Holiday being listed as a truck stop for Anchorage but...I guess it's the closest thing we've got to one in town.
Hilltop Truck Stop I consider an actual truck stop....because there is ample parking, fuel, good mom&pop style restaurant and showers! (showers I've never seen) if anyone gets bored google street view it and Hub of Alaska too lol.
