Hey congrats Road Hog! That's awesome news! And from everything you've told us hopefully your trainer learned a lot from you so he can pass on that knowledge to his future students!

Yap, the often sad excuse for people they refer to as "trainers" in the trucking industry. There's some great ones, but there sure are too many awful ones.

But you made it!!!!

The place to take any information about your trainer is to the head of the Safety Department. But as we mentioned, wait until you're running solo for a short time - maybe a month or so - and then meet with the safety department in person and explain everything to them.

Your company may have what are often referred to as "driver liaisons" or something similar to that. They're basically experienced drivers for the company that are supposed to be there to help other drivers with any problems they may be having. Don't waste your time taking it to anyone like that. They just wind up sticking up for their buddies anyhow. Take it straight to the Safety Department.

Road Hog,

The other person you need to get that to is Stan Kasterke (head of training). If you need his direct phone #, let me know. Don Lacy is the guy in safety you need to talk to as well.

Just like when I was in the Navy. Always make friends in all the right places. Never know when you may need to call them for a favor.

It is all about who & what you know that makes the difference.
