This is completely unrelated to starting out over the road , or anything over the road.

Over The Road:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

I've never seen an ejection system just for the engine!

Errol; i'm pretty sure just the part of the engine above the crankshaft was ejected. Then again, who can tell exactly from this video? I certainly can't.

That smoke is normal for those Souped Up Diesel Engines! Ok...... I admit it........ I like watching those Tractor Pulls. Farmers with way too much MONEY and TIME on their hands!!!

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Michael, I took a closer look. True, the crank is a small part (in volume) of the engine. But the hood worked smoothly to open up, allowing whatever parts of the motor that wanted out to escape. Added analysis: if the whole engine got out, failure would most likely be at the clutch/bell housing. It would be twisting out. So your first guess may be right, as the crank just pushed the block up and out of the way.

I've watched many tractor pulls. Seen a coupla explosions, but never an escape like this.

In Quebec, they do it in the road. Yup, they're drag racing B-Trains up a slight hill and other tomfoolery.

Thanks Michael S.

Really enjoyed that video.

I have only been to one tractor pull and I was impressed with the thickness of the smoke. Looked like it couldn't have been cut with an axe.
