Official DOT certified doctors are not hard to find. Expect to spend between $60-$120 for the exam.
The FMCSA is a place to start:
National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners
The CSA is a Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) initiative to improve large truck and bus safety and ultimately reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities that are related to commercial motor vehicle
The FMCSA was established within the Department of Transportation on January 1, 2000. Their primary mission is to prevent commercial motor vehicle-related fatalities and injuries.
What Does The FMCSA Do?
A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.
State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.
Many Urgent Care Centers have Federally Registered Doctors on Staff. Also, Walgreens and CVS Pharmacies that have in store Medical Clinics. Errol's link above will bring them all up. They aren't hard to find! Good Luck!

Question. I recently called my local DMV about getting my Class A reinstated. I let it lapse. They informed me I must get a medical pass from a doctor. My question is does anyone know or is there a specific type of doctor one must go to. The DMV specialist said the doctor would be able to give me forms and or log my results into the DMV database. This made me realize that this doctor must be authorized or connected to the trucking industry. I do not know of any doctors I could go to . Any suggestions. I live in Los Angeles, Ca. I just need to get to a doctor to get passed so I can get my license back. I'm ready to get back in the game.
