Well that does it. I've finally completed schooling! I have my CDL in hand and i'm ready to get out there and get myself a job. In this wonderful field. Thank you all for following along with me on this incredible journey. I hope i've helped some of the people that are looking to get into this profession and I hope I gave some of you old timers some laughs along the way. I've been very thankful for everyone's help and I wish you all the best.
I'll be sure to keep everyone up to date on where I land and how things work out for me in the general board. But as far as this thread is concerned... it's a wrap!
CDL:
Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
- Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
- Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
- Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
- Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
