I'd like to convert the crew cab area into a sleeper, basically turning the back seat into a bed. What do I need to do to be DOT compliant? I would assume it has to be anchored to the floor? I don't want and butt kicking if I get pulled over and they don't like what they see.
I'm looking for ideas and advice, appreciate any help offered.
DOT:
Department Of Transportation
A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.
State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.
I have a Freightliner M2 crew cab, 26,000 GVW.
