Have you looked here Paid CDL Training Programs?
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
I can't remember, to be honest, which companies pay you while you're in the classroom portion. It isn't many. I want to say Knight is one but I'm not sure.
You'll certainly be better off if you can save up some money before you start training so you're not broke and starving all the time. A lot of people go into training with barely a dime to their name and they're bumming cigarettes and asking for money and struggling the whole time. There's already so much stress and hard work involved with getting this career underway that you don't want to make it any more difficult than it already is. Even if you have to sell one or two things to gather up a bit of cash you'll be better off.
Also, a lot of companies like Prime, Wil-Trans , and Jim Palmer (amongst others I'm sure) will lend you money during training and let you pay it back slowly in your paychecks once you head out on the road. I think they'll lend you like $200/week or something like that which can be quite helpful.
Darrel Wilson bought his first tractor in 1980 at age 20, but, being too young to meet OTR age requirements, he leased the truck out and hired a driver.
Through growth and acquisition, Wil-Trans now employs over 200 drivers, and has a long-standing partnership with Prime, Inc. to haul their refrigerated freight. The family of businesses also includes Jim Palmer Trucking and O & S Trucking.

What companies offer this but pay you while you're in school? I know Rhoel does but are there any others. I'm trying to do as much research as possible and not wanting to go without a paycheck for weeks on end. Any help would be appreciated.
