This might sound stupid.. But primarily stay calm. When people freak out bad things happen. I was in a walmart DC n the temps dropped so fast that by the time I got unloaded the parking lot was total ice.

I was going really slow and then the trailer logo was in my mirror coming at me. I simply moved the truck in front of it and gained control of the trailer again.

G towns post is great cause ppl forget the accidents can occur in parking lots at low speeds or even parked trying move.

I watched a lot of YouTube videos of accidents and noticed what went wrong. I try to learn from others to avoid those same.mistakes. always have a plan.

This may sound stupid as well....LOL So when your trailer began to slide, you turned toward the side coming toward you to gain control? See...? This is some of what I worry about. I know if I lose traction to let up on the gas and lay off the brake, but regaining control of a sliding vehicle is different.

Kat...focus on controlling your speed and the space in front of you.

Try not to let the fear take control of your ability to manage your truck. You have already demonstrated good sense...something that many of our brethren will never have.
