We lost the contract!! I swear it seems like there is some evil force following me making sure I can't stay with one dispatcher for more than a few months. Now I have to figure out what I'm going to do, AGAIN.

So yesterday I actually started out with a local empty trailer move. I got the message about Walmart while I was doing that. Then my boss calls and says we're doing Walmart today, to hurry up and drop that trailer and get up to Walmart asap. So I ended up doing Walmart for the rest of the day. It sucks that I can't do this anymore cause it's so fun. I delivered to three stores yesterday. Walmart in Lakewood, Sam's in Aurora, and Walmart in Lakeside. They sent me back to the DC after each delivery. I didn't have enough hours last night so I shut down at the last store.
They actually give us turn by turn directions for each store and I still made a wrong turn on my way to Lakeside! According to their directions there was supposed to be a frontage road. Yeah right..
Anyways, so it looks like we're done with Walmart as of this Saturday. I called Target dedicated down in Pueblo who said they still need surge drivers until the second week of January. I don't think they'll be able to keep me on permanently but who knows. At least this will give me some time to figure out what I am going to do next. Oh and I should be "home" (my parent's house--I'm still homeless) every night.
If Target can keep me on and keep me busy, my wife and I will probably just move to Colorado Springs. If not, we might move to Utah and I'll do Walmart dedicated out of Corinne. There are options in Denver but we don't want to live in Denver or make a 70-mile commute from Colorado Springs every day.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Target. I would love to be home with my wife every night and still get to see my family on a regular basis.
