I am starting this post for everyone to post pics of their favorite (read least favorite) recycling centers. Those who look like they were laid out by someone who has never seen a tractor trailer before.

Even post the pics of the good ones with plenty of room. It will be interesting to see the contrast.

Once I get to a spot with good wifi I will upload some pics of today's recycling center.

Generally, the scales at those places kill me.

Yeah - that's pretty tight in those docks. Do they at least give you enough room to setup for a decent straight back - or is it 50 pullups/goals to get positioned?

The room you see in the bottom pic is what I had to work with. I am standing next to the scale house with a row of cars about 2 feet behind me.

Btw, the scale was too small. I had to scale my tractor and trailer separate. When I pulled in, I had to drive past the scale then back on. Then on the way out I had to pull out into the road and back onto the scale again to scale out. The road is off to my left in the bottom pic.

Here's a satellite image of the one I'm at right now. I'm supposed to drop my trailer in the dock to the far right (next to the corner).

It looks to be on par with the nicer clean corporate recycling plants. They definitely don't put much thought into tractor trailers. Even when they have rows of them slapping them in the face. LoL.

I will have a good 1 for y'all later. I am in Knoxville. This recycling center is definitely one of the worst I have been to before.

You all get nice docks... Look up the photos in the flatbed variety thread.

Here I thought flatbed were drive thru docks, lol.

Us Dry Van do get spoiled though. semi trailer wheels on ramp at dock

See, we get ramps, so we can reach the dock. LoL

Dry Van:
