Absolutely the worst account you could get on...I hear from alot of drivers at the terminals and all that it's not worth it....
Depending on where you live, there should be alot of other options as far as dedicated accounts go
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

This sounds like hear say, I was looking for a more personal experience. Thanks for the comment never the less. Still somewhat helpful.

Jordan, it is just a lot of physical hared work. If you are young and enjoy that type of thing that it is possible that it is just the right gig for you. The pay is pretty decent, but you will earn it. The other problem with that account is the very difficult backing situations that you will get into. The stores are usually in strip centers or small free standing units with very small parking lots. Backing into some of them requires blocking a couple of lanes of traffic out in the street while trying to back in with impatient four wheelers trying to squeeze their way around your blind side at times.
Look, Brett did the Dollar Tree account (same kind of deal) for at least a year or more, and he would tell you the same things. It is just good old hard work, with a lot of challenges thrown in with it. There is a reason why the pay is good, and you will just have to decide if it is worth it for you.
Thanks Old school, The kind of comment I was looking for ill have to look into "Brett" about how long it can take to unload. I am young, and I don't mind hard work if it pays the bills and has me home to help a little more and a little more often. Thanks again!

There are a few other posting on this subject but none current enough for my liking. I won't go over pay but I am looking to hear from someone who may be a little experienced in the intense labor the family dollar account ask for. Is the labor something I should concern myself with? How much of your 14 did it eat up and what would be an efficient way to run an account as such as this one? (I currently drive with swift but swift is big on dedicated accounts up north or out west, not southeast.) P.S. I am not one to leave a company but I have exhausted all options with swift and just had a second baby. I can't ask my wife to do it all alone all the time.
Thanks in advance!
