Trust me I am aware. I used my phone for Barbering as well. I am just happy I do not have to deal with 1099s and paying my taxes quarterly. That is 1 big headache I am glad to be rid of.
A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).
It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.
Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.

I did that for a couple of decades myself. I love the concept of Quarterly Estimated Taxes. Guess how much you will make in the next 3 months and pay us the money in ADVANCE! If you guess too low we will penalize you. If you guess too high, we will just hang on to your money and apply it to NEXT QUARTER!.............um...uh.....ok.....sounds fair to me!?

You got love the IRS. Don't forget if you mess up on your guess too many times, we will tear apart all your guesses for the last 10 years and you get to explain every penny line by line. Don't forget to bring your receipts or it never happened.
AT&T and their subsidiary Cricket now offer unlimited data plans but turn off your phone's ability to tether. I'm wondering if anyone has found a way to get around this. I can't think of many (if any) professions that use cellular data like truckers. Thanks for any input.
Family Mobile (Wal-Mart) allows unlimited data (slow after the data plan is used up) and does not restrict tethering, other than limiting you to one tethered device at a time.
The coverage is decent in populated areas, and near most interstates, though there are big holes in coverage on I-80 in the western states.
I get my music from XM radio. Data plan is for the computer, and for the GPS.
I have a 10GB plan, and rarely use it all in a month. 54.00. Phone is a Samsung Galaxy Prime something, cost me about 150 if I recall correctly.

The IRS will typically allow 50% of your cell phone bill to be deductible. They know you do not use your phone exclusively for business. I wouldn't try to deduct the whole thing, regardless of a Trans Flo app or any other. Not worth the risk of an audit IMHO. The IRS may be brutal thugs, but they are not stupid!
