LOL. Am I right, Tractor Man? How does he do it all? Maybe he just never sleeps.

I have to be home, not making any money, sick with bronchitis, taking nebulizer treatments, to even have the time to log on, here.

Melton is a great place to get started as a flat-bed driver. It's a great place to stay as a flat-bedder.

I would say more, but John L stole my thunder! smile.gif

It's nice to have a few disciples taking up my message. It means I'm getting across to a few folks!

Marc, we've had several of our members who worked for Melton. If you'll put "Melton" in the search bar at the top of this page you should find a lot of conversations here in our forum about their experiences.

That search engine only searches this web site, so you won't get a bunch of other junk in your search.

Keep us posted. I like the way they do things over there at Melton.

Just to add to the Melton comments, they were one of the companies I seriously considered going to when I left my first company. They do go to NYC about 1% of the time, which put them behind the other two companies I was looking at since I have no desire to go into NYC ever again. (Apparently there are millions of people who like it there, so what do I know?)

Melton pulls mostly 53' flatbeds, which can be nice since you'll rarely have anything hanging off the back of the trailer. Their pay is pretty good, and I've heard from Melton drivers that their training is excellent. They have nice newer trucks as well. Definitely a top-tier flatbed outfit.
