That was rather ironic, wasn't it?
It's the most interesting part of your day! That's just funny!
DITTO!
Me and my Fiancee have put 80k since taking ours over and still have a little over 5 months to go to be a year.
I definitely like the stick shifts better since not only am I in control of the vehicle but I am also able to drive throughout the winter much better. I drive a 5 speed manual( I know they are different from trucks because I drove my first truck on the road yesterday afternoon. LOVED IT!) and I actually drove through the sheet of ice on our drive way which by the way is not level by any means and was able to get to CDL school just in time to find out that they put a 1hour delay on it and then found out that I had to go to the yard instead of the school so I got to play with that 5 speed again going out of the iced parking lot. Yeah, thats why I love manual transmission vehicles.
My experience with a automatic transmission was with my 2000 Toyota Corolla and I was almost sent over a cliff near a bridge that first winter when it iced and 2nd I had a terrible time driving in slush . Manuals are the way to go, especially if you are like me and have had limes disease and now prone to arthritis. Though that keeps my knees in great shape for the many other activities I take part in.
Have a great evening or day whenever you get this Rainy D!
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
Congrats to you as well Earl!!
And Victor, I never drove a stick...ever. And have had Mustangs the past 15 years. I never had a problem even in winter with my GTs. They are heavier and have a traction control on them....wheel base is wider too. But my V6 slid all over the darn place.
I was the only one in my class of 76 people who never drove stick and my instructor said is was better cause I didn't have to unlearn the car.

Wow that is awesome! Yeah I have to admit that I had a couple of bad habits to break. LOL. I still though cannot believe that you were able, even with the heavier and wider mustangs to get through the ice and snow. But man, you must be a brave lady!
I should go get a mustang, if you can do it I sure can! lol
This is beautifully awesome...
But THIS is brave....

You got it! Auto would put me over the edge! At least I get to enjoy the beautiful scenery on 76 through PA. I never get tired of the mountains, and the grades and twists and turns keeps me engaged. It's like going on the same roller coaster ride over and over. Groundhog Day.
