They won't let you come back until five years has passed? Is that what you're saying?

and its not just new people either its people who have been there for awhile me friend was making good money and then they switched dispatchers on him and hes only made 17000 this year.

And please stop exaggerating things. No full time experienced driver with any sense whatsoever is making under $40,000 per year. Just stick with the facts.

Dispatcher:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Yes while I was trying to negotiate a way to affordable pay back the loan I talked to them about coming back a finishing my term with them and they said I could not come back for a 5 year period I have tried to work with them in what every way I am able to and I know they have worked with other drivers with similar situations plus I wasn't lying when I told you what my friend made and its not just him ive talked with other drivers at trucks stops that are running into similar issues my friend has since left and is driving for a military contract overseas now

my attorney is already paid for in advance I have no fees for consultation or calls or letters written on my behalf and I don't have a problem paying back the money I have been working with someone setting up a payment plan just wanted to see if they could try to get me fired or not and legally they can they can just take me to court and have my wages garnished to get back the money lost the non-compete is no longer in affect and yes since leaving them my life has been much better I actually get to spend time with my family more and friends people don't really get to me I just needed to find out legally what was going to happen I do appreciate the advice sorry if I offended anyone on here and I'm not saying they are a bad company over all I do believe it is a case by case instance but there has been a lot of crappy things that I've seen then do and yes my friend did make good money for a few years and then it was unfortunate what happened and that was more on the dispatcher playing favoritism not CRST themselves

It's a shame you got yourself into this situation. All I can really say that hasn't been said already is to read and research any company you work for in the future. With the internet , there really is no excuse not to be informed. A quick Google search probably would have brought up a good number of people in a situation similar to yours. I just hope for you and your family sake you get things in order.

they said I could not come back for a 5 year period

Ok then my guess would be you did something pretty seriously wrong. Because CRST would normally hire you back unless you now have something on your record that they won't tolerate within a five year period like a felony, DUI , failed drug screen, reckless driving, or something of that nature.

We've dealt with plenty of people who tried getting out of CRST's contract and I don't know anyone that has managed it. I also don't know of anyone that was told that CRST would not hire them back but at the same time they couldn't get a job in trucking without paying the contract in full first. It would seem either CRST would want you to work for them or they would want their money, but I'm not sure how they could say you can't work for them nor for anyone else, either. To tell someone they can't go work for a competitor but can't come to work for CRST has to mean there's more to this story than you've told us so far.

{I} went on the road with a trainer and did my time I was away from home for a total of around two months and in that time was only able to log and get paid for about 6,000 miles which is about 750 per month. At this point my bills are not being able to be paid and they are not wanting to let me have home time for another 3-4 weeks.

So all in all I decide to quit and pursue employment elsewhere.

Brett just said something's seriously wrong. I went back to this part of Randall's first post. Nearly everybody rides with a trainer for a period of time/miles. The objective is to get you as many training miles as possible. Yet you claim to have driven 750 per week. That's less than 2 days of 11 hour days.

And during your training, you just may have to stay on the road for two months without getting home yourself. What limited you when you were supposed to be driving your hiney off?

You must have had a felony, failed drug test, bad accident (s).

People here can't assist you if you don't fully disclose as Crst will take anybody anytime if you meet their low hiring standards.

Then why won't they hire you for five years?
