Tractor brakes. It just happened in Pittston too. My permits got lost and I sat there for the weekend waiting for them to find them.

Then I get to SLC and frozen again after sitting the weejendncause 80 was closed.

I drove 300 miles and guess what? Closed again..so now I'm in Rawlins. That's fine. This load might get there by New Years lol

I live in TN. I only run SE Regional. I mainly stick to 4 states. KY, TN, AL, & GA. I make occasional runs to MS & FL. Rarely I go into the Carolinas. Btw, it was 72 degrees out today.

Regional:

Regional Route

Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.

OTR:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

Fm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

True to TN fashion this morning it is back to 40 degrees. Oh well. That is one thing about TN. Weather is always all over the place. Just far enough south that when I warm front comes up we get it. Just far enough north that when a cold front comes down, we get that too, lol. I lost count the number of times we went from 60 degrees and sunshine one day to 30 degrees and freezing rain/snow the next. Then back into the 50s the day after that.

It if makes you feel better I am sitting in Southern GA. It is a chilly 66 degrees, lol. Unfortunately I have to head back to the terminal this week. It is in WI, so I will get to taste the cold weather and snow. Then as soon as my trucks maintenance and my quarterly safety classes are done, I am on the first load heading south.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

I left Rawlins this morning the wind was not bad, but down on the east side of elk Mt the snow was blowing so bad, there were times I could not see 50 feet and then it would just left and you could see, and then it would be gone agen. I keeped telling my self should have just stayed in the truck stop, instead of driving in this. But made it to Nebraska and it is warm here 47.
