I have some questions about the trucks you drive for companies. What can you do to them to yours considering you will be living there. How often do you get a new one. What things do you buy yourself cb/gps/radio/tv. Also in reality not what recruiters tell you how often are you home on the diferent types of drives otr dedicated and what not
Thanks Jordan
Time off...depends. can be everyday or like me week or one a month.depends on the company and what account your running. There is nothing set in stone so far as time off or at home in trucking.
New truck....every 3 to 5 years or 500,00 to 700,000 miles depending on the company.
And yes you have to by all the things you listed yourself. They provide the truck and fuel and the freight at least you can by the smaller stuff.
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
