I also found that eating pickles regularly, and drinking the juice, helped with heartburn.
As far as soda drinks go, I used to mop up on cases of Coca-cola when it was on sale. Not to drink, but for washing my filthy oilfield work clothes. Worked wonders!
Part of the problem with commercialized medicine is that drug manufacturers make more money if they only treat symptoms, rather than fixing problems. What I do not understand is why Whitehouse vinegar (or any other major vinegar manufacturer) hasn't started marketing ACV as an over the counter pro-acid for food-related heartburn relief.
G-Town hit this one pretty well but I would also like to for you to stop and think /realize that this issue is so very much bigger than antacids and heartburn. It is one of this biggest and most horrific things driving the entire cancer industry and vaccination industry. While I'm sure G-Town and probably some others on here could add pages to this post regarding this stuff I will bite my tongue for once and leave you with just a couple items to look up and buy: Buy this book on Amazon, "Outsmart Your Cancer". It will give you some more insight on some of what has been stated here about testing, approval, resistance etc.. There are many "alternative" treatments you can make or buy over the internet or in your health food store that have cured cancer with zero side effects. And when I say cured I mean just what you think, not the new definition from the cancer industry who changed it with regards to cancer so that now it means "alive 5 years after diagnosis". You can die a couple weeks later but you made the 5 year mark so you get counted as cured.
Two more things. On Youtube look up and watch Dr. John Bergman and look up and watch some of the "Forbidden Cures" documentary like videos.
Thank you Farmerbob1 for bringing this topic to TT. You just might have helped save someones career because of health concerns or possibly someone's life. As they say someplace warmer than NH, "Good on ya mate".

I don't know about heartburn, but a can of Pepsi is great for getting oil stains off of concrete.
