TBH, none. You are stuck. Ever heard of Arrow? It was a truck company that went belly up a few days before Christmas some years back. Fuel cards shutoff, trucks repossessed , paychecks bounced, the whole 9. Left their drivers stranded with no money, no truck, no way home.
Brook, you signed on to Trucking Truth and posted this question. Are you all right? Are you the one stuck on the side of the road?
If your company is in operation, they should cover the travel expense.
I have to ask the obvious question. If you know they are in this kind of problem why drive another mile and risk being stranded. I would find another company and get out of there truck while it's in your control.
My codriver recommends drivingthat truck to your new company, if you can, or drive it home and park it. Explain to your new company whats going on and they'll understand. Same happened with Arrow and also Burlington Express.
Keep us posted.
