Nacho D. - Unemployment assigned me a career counselor and I have met her. I also attended all the classes that Unemployment mandates and the WIOA was discussed in one of them.

Rainy D. - I would want to bring my cat along because I am afraid that she might get out. I put her in a carrier when she goes to the vet. I would prefer to stay with a friend - even crash on the sofa - and she would care for the cat. If necessary, a lifetime of accumulation would go into storage. I have a large collection of very nice skirts, dresses, etc., accumulated during years of office work - perhaps I could sell them on Ebay. Certainly don't need them as a trucker!

WIOA:

WIOA - Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (aka WIA)

Formerly known as the Workforce Investment Act (WIA), the WIOA was established in 1998 to prepare youth, adults and dislocated workers for entry and reentry into the workforce. WIOA training funds are designed to serve laid-off individuals, older youth and adults who are in need of training to enter or reenter the labor market. A lot of truck drivers get funding for their CDL training through WIOA.
