Hi, Roy, welcome to Trucking Truth. Opinions expressed here are straightforward and honest. No drama.
First, it's good you have consideration for the missus. It's up to you to decide how to handle your marriage while on the road. This subject itself comes up every so often.
Questions for you: when did you drive for Werner? Like any other business, things change over time. If you've been off the road for even six months you may have to attend a refresher class. That's why I asked. And, of course, if you're thinking of going back to Werner, a call to their recruiter will get everything set up for you.
Also, how long were you driving before?
There's lots of stuff here, just look across the top of the web page.
Not knowing how much OTR recordings you have, here's a set of our beginning information. The more details you get us (the two questions I asked) the more detailed the answers you'll get.
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
Operating While Intoxicated
Also, company information:
I was with werner for 6 months and left in october of 2016. Her mental health couldnt deal with it then but i think now its better but i mean i wouldnt even wanna know where to start for looking. I really dont wanna go through a trainer again because it wasnt bad but i mean i dont like buttong heads with someone then being stucl having to look at them for a few hours afterwards.
Ao got in touch with western and receuiter says he has to see what they would be able to do as far as home time getting mw home bc of living in colorado. Hopefully when he calls back i hear good news
October wasn't that long ago. It might be way too soon for her to handle that. Mental conditions don't usually a Improve that quickly and it would be worse to get hired then leave again if she needs you.
Might be best to wait awhile more. And don't confused "regional" with meaning you are getting more home time. Sometimes it is "more often, but the same number of days per month". So whether four days straight a mont OTR , or every other weekend regional...it still could be only four days per month.
Some regional get hone every weekend or more, but the more experienced drivers get the more desirable positions.
Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.

Yeah...and I'm the type to like the money and not have to deal with you annoying me most of the month. Lol. Then sweet home coming action! Hahah
Yeah i think she would rather have me sending money and talking on the phone than home 24/7. But i wanna get into flatbed and give it a shot plus been talking to her therapist and he says she needs to have more goto help. Meaning not rely on me so much and open other options for her.
