Awwww man Brett I am only 118 miles away from you right now! Heading to Bradford, PA for an unload tomorrow morning at 0700. Then to Pittsburgh so I'll be going the opposite direction unfortunately. Maybe you have some business down in the Bradford area tomorrow morning...?
Opening the map and seeing the blue squares everywhere looks like Trucking Truth is slowly taking over the nation

Ya know, it would shock people to know how big TruckingTruth really is. We have a small group of super friendly people in the forum so it feels like a quaint little site, which I love. But the reality is far different.
So far in 2013 we've had:
1,495,413 Total Visits from
913,369 Unique Visitors
5,718,013 Page Views
Which puts us on pace for the full year:
1,819,419 Total Visits from
1,111,265 Unique Visitors
6,956,915 Page Views
Is that crazy or what??? We will have about 1.1 million unique people visit TruckingTruth this year alone and it's still growing strong after almost 7 years. January 12th, 2007 is when I bought the domain. So it's not quite 7 years old.
Hey, we need to have a birthday party for TT in January, eh? Everyone can post pictures here in the forum on that day of beautiful cakes and gifts!
Operating While Intoxicated
Brett,
I have been noticing that the tracker is not picking up on my proper location when I update using IE9. When I use Chrome, it at least allows me to manually update my location.
Just thought you would like to know about this little glitch.
Ernie
Thanks Ernie! That's what I get for thinking IE will be able to do even the most basic things that every other browser has done effortlessly for years and years. I found the problem and I'll create a workaround for it later today.
Ok, the issue with manually updating your position in Internet Explorer seems to be fixed. I tested Firefox and that seems to be working fine also. Let me know if you guys see any more issues.
Also, I'm still hoping for more suggestions or votes on other people's suggestions right here:
Don't be shy! This is the best way to gather ideas and opinions on what people would like to see. Thanks!

IE still not updating correctly (if at all). I also noticed that when I updated using Chrome, instead of being at the top of the list (like it had been), I am now 17 on the list?????? Seems some of the changes you made have created other possible issues.

You may have to clear your browser cache or reload the page a time or two to make sure you have the most recent files. But I've used IE 9 to update my position several times and it's working on my end. I have to do it manually because IE's support of GPS positioning is sketchy. But I've spent all the time I'm going to spend on worrying about IE for this lifetime. The browser is just junk and always has been. Stick with Google Chrome or Firefox or Opera or any option that isn't clearly the worst browser on the planet.
I changed the order of the list next to the map so that it's alphabetical. Otherwise it's impossible to find people by name. That's why your position on the list changed. I'm going to be eliminating that list at some point here soon. The map is going to go the entire width of the page and the table on the bottom is going to interact with the map instead.

Sounds good to me!

That moment when you look at the Trucker Tracker map and you notice someone is 12 miles from you and you get excited.
Then you realize the last update by that person was 2 days ago...
