I was flatbed for Prime for a while, so if you have any specific questions, let me know. If I can't answer them, I know folks that I can get the answers from.
One big thing that always comes up is about your equipment, at Prime even as a company driver you pay for your equipment. Meaning straps, chains, binders, bungies, tarps, etc. It's about $3000 - $3500 for all the equipment (which by the way, Prime will buy back from you at the same price you paid for it). The only exception there is bungies, unless they are in their original packaging, they won't take them back. You don't have to come up with that kind of money up front. They will let you pay for it over the course of a year.

Some info on Prime flatbed. They have about 300 trucks so it is a small community within the company. And skateboarders are kinda that way anyway. Bunch of very helpful people if you ask me.
But you get the advantages of a big company along with the feel of a small community.
