I wouldn't even know. There are so many divisions and decidicated routes that all make different money. I know of one that makes $1250 per week flat rate as long as the truck made a "certain amount" each week. Running reefer in northeast. And yes, newbies can start them right away.
And we drive so slow to prevent accidents and roll overs. And increase fuel bonuses.
I'm in now hurry. Don't you know of the tortoise and the hare????

Your just trying to see the Jersey aren't you?
Lol naw no malice here. We're only governed 2mph faster than prime so we're not doing much better. However some of those guys are doing 57 and It's kinda annoying but it's all good. I've seen plenty of Joyzee here btw

LOL well both of your need your very own special lane to the far right. 😆
I think it's stupid we are at 58 on the pedal and 62 on cruise. Smh.
And keep in mind the lightweights are often fully loaded so those hills are murder :(
And....don't be talkin bout jersey. I'll bury you with jimmy Hoffa and you'll never be found. Lol
Jersey is just fine... long as I'm not in it.
And the only time the extra speed really helps is when you've passed the last two rest areas when you've had to pee. Then it's super handy.😂

CDL:
Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
Terminal:
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
OTR:
Over The Road
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
Per Diem:
Getting paid per diem means getting a portion of your salary paid to you without taxes taken out. It's technically classified as a meal and expense reimbursement.
Truck drivers and others who travel for a living get large tax deductions for meal expenses. The Government set up per diem pay as a way to reimburse some of the taxes you pay with each paycheck instead of making you wait until tax filing season.
Getting per diem pay means a driver will get a larger paycheck each week but a smaller tax return at tax time.
We have a ton of information on our wiki page on per diem pay
