which makes me think ill be sitting alot and getting low miles.
Did you ask about the average miles? That would be almost 1k per week with only 2000 miles. Crete is a fairly big operation. Did you ask if it was a Dollar account?
That's about what I make but I'm flatbed so I gotta do stuff. Not sure what kinds miles they get, only that their trucks are alway in the way lol.
I have been with Crete one year now. I love the company and have no doubt I made the right choice. I am on the walmart dedicated so I'm not 100% sure on the national rates but I know the longer you agree to stay out the more they pay. That 49cpm sounds more like the Shaffer side but I could be wrong. I can vouch it is a great company with great benefits. Trucks are well maintained and they truly are a safety first company. I hope this helps and if you have other questions I am glad to try and help.
Drivers are often paid by the mile and it's given in cents per mile, or cpm.

Anyone drive for Crete? How do you like it over there? They hired me and want me to head to orientation asap but i told them I'm gonna wait and "shop around" a little more. Also they said they'd start me out at .49 cents a mile hauling a dry van which worries me because that seems pretty high which makes me think ill be sitting alot and getting low miles.
