You do realize the Cul de Sac of Florida is a black hole in the trucking industry. Freight goes in, it doesn't come out. There are O/O that don't even bother trying to find freight coming out of Florida. They will take loads in (which deliver at a premium) than just deadhead out back into the shipping lanes.
There aren't many companies (in the grand scheme) that hire in Florida. Even fewer who hire south of Orlando. Just ask Rick.
To drive with an empty trailer. After delivering your load you will deadhead to a shipper to pick up your next load.
I live and drive out of Florida and if there is any way you can train and get at least 6 months experience out of NC you will have a lot more options and choices.
