Hey Anne I’ve been called worse than banks... lol. Anyways the Cobra 29 Ltd the Chrome as Packrat has and the NW or nightwatch. Which I think illuminates more than the regular Cobra. Kinda cool just recently learned of that one. The LV models are the ones that I personally would stay away from. But that’s me going off of what I’ve heard from the cab tech I go too. He’s had more issues with the LV than the Ltd. And yes it isn’t necessary to have it immediately peak and tuned i forget your husband is a veteran driver I’m sure he knows all this already. And I actually am in a long nose pearl white day cab that I do not slip seat. I personally bought two long Velcro pieces of tape from loves and slapped it on the dash. Goo gone will take care of the residue whenever I need to take em off. I’ll take a pic Monday. I also run a speaker next to it. My hearing is awful. Hope that helped? Haha

Ef my life... Bird one not Banks... sheeesh.. all the dang B WORDS today..

...including the one I'm calling my daughter atm. embarrassed.gif

You don't daycab but home daily.. same diff?!?!?

Amazon has 119 and now finding a 'better one' for 129?

'When a woman buys something she knows nothing about' should be the title (newest!) of this thread!

Day Cab:

A tractor which does not have a sleeper berth attached to it. Normally used for local routes where drivers go home every night.

Helped a TON, Bird one! I sure miss OUR daycab/Petercar, dang ya! (Pic of ole' Bessie in my profile.)

Re: the CB's . . . okay, yep ...the basic one is the $119.00 ...It's the LTD. The NW is ten bux more, but apparently not what I'll go with, according to your input (WHICH I AM GRATEFUL FOR!!!) :) I'll just go THAT route. I'd post pix, but..no need to waste bandwith et al.. since you know what I mean, haha~!! Yes, I understood you .. and foraged along with that info, into my research and perusal.

No clue IF and WHEN he might be dealing with 'slip seating' but...he's in #2008 atm (which is manual) and his #2029 had to go back to W.Star (auto.) Don gets bounced trucks more often; different yard, perhaps? IDK. But . . Whoever left the Uniden probably left it for good. Ergo, my plans!!

Funny thing? Uniden PRO is only $29 on Amazon.....wow, what a piece he's been using, haha!

Another funny? There's a 'President Johnny III' that's the same price as the Cobra 29 ... sheesh!!!! Oh man.. I don't want ANYTHING with the word 'President' in it, atm! Didn't even know that was a 'thing' and I'm pretty 'hip' in the industry, hahahaha!

I'll stick with the 'basic' Cobra. Saw the 'night light' one ... he's not big on extra lighting in the cab, driving nights as he does. So, nope~!

Thanks, for sure! I am SOOOOO eagerly awaiting pictures, Bird 1 ~!!!! (...and yes, we have 'goo gone.' LoL! There's a funny story behind that, but ... will digress , hahaha!) <<< Not 'pornish' . . . just doesn't work w/Duct Tape. I tried. He. Wasn't. Happy. :( oops!

And to all future and current DRIVERS . . . really . . . get A CB~!!! (i'd get a HAM radio at the home '20 if I understood all that, LoL~!)

Speaking of CB's, did anyone notice a lot of skip today? Driving through the mountains of OR today, I was hearing people from 2,000 miles away in LA and SC.
